Van Gogh Museum
A substantial share of Van Gogh's surviving drawings remained with the family and eventually passed to the Vincent van Gogh Foundation, whose works are on permanent loan to the Van Gogh Museum.

After Theo van Gogh's death in 1891, the drawing passed by inheritance to Vincent Willem van Gogh and was administered by Johanna van Gogh-Bonger. It was loaned to the Stedelijk Museum from 1931 to 1973, transferred to the Vincent van Gogh Foundation in 1962, and placed on permanent loan to the Van Gogh Museum in 1973.

The Entrance to the Pawn Bank

Commissioned from the artist by his uncle C. M. van Gogh in 1882, the drawing remained unsold at a 1902 auction, passed through the 't Lam family, and was purchased by the Vincent van Gogh Foundation in 1975 before entering the Van Gogh Museum on permanent loan.

Landscape in Drenthe

Left with the artist's mother in 1885, the drawing passed through Breda, Rotterdam, Amsterdam, London and private collectors before the Van Gogh Museum acquired it at Christie's in 1986 with support from the Vincent van Gogh Foundation and Vereniging Rembrandt.

Landscape with a Stack of Peat and Farmhouses

After remaining with the artist's mother, the drawing moved through dealers, the Gieseler and Van Beuningen collections, and was acquired by the Van Gogh Museum from a private collector in 1977.

The drawing followed the principal family route: Theo van Gogh, then Vincent Willem van Gogh under Johanna van Gogh-Bonger's administration, a 1931-1973 Stedelijk Museum loan, transfer to the Vincent van Gogh Foundation in 1962, and permanent loan to the Van Gogh Museum in 1973.
