The fourth version, in the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam. After the Roulins took the third version, he began a repetition of it for himself on 3 February; twice interrupted by hospital stays, it was put aside around 24 February and is the only one of the five without an inscription. Augustine sits in the armchair holding the cradle cord; her dark-green sleeves meet the dark patterned wallpaper, and white flowers are scattered around her head.
